Shared Worlds is a tabletop roleplaying service run by an AI game master, at sharedworldsrpg.com and in Discord. This page says plainly what we keep, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• Your sign-in. When you sign in with Discord or Google we receive the account id, your name, your email address and your avatar from that provider. We never see your password for those services. If you sign up with an email address we store that address and a hashed password.
• Your profile. Anything you choose to add: display name, icon, location, bio, links. All optional. Nothing on your profile is shown to other players unless you turn on "let other players find me".
• Your games. Everything you write at the table, the characters you make, and the world, story and history the game master builds from it. This is the game; it can't run without remembering.
• Technical logs. Our hosting providers keep ordinary server logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) for a short time to keep the service running and secure.

How we use it

To run your games, keep them consistent over time, show you your own history, and let you find other players if you ask to be found. Your game text is sent to the AI model providers that generate the game master's replies so that they can generate them. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Games you make on the website are visible only to you. Games run in a Discord server are visible to that server's members, as any Discord channel is. Your profile is private unless you make it discoverable, and you can switch that off any time.

Where it lives

Data is stored with Supabase (database and sign-in) and served by Vercel (the website). Both are hosted in the United States.

Your controls

• Edit or remove anything on your profile at Profile.
• Rename, archive or permanently delete any game you made from its settings page.
• Download a complete copy of your data, or delete your account and everything in it, at Account & data. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Children

Shared Worlds is for people aged 13 and over. If we learn we hold an account belonging to someone younger we will delete it.
